From Athenawiki
Welcome to the Athena WP4 wiki!
ATHENA, presented as a Network of Best Practice within the eContentplus Programme, will bring together relevant stakeholders and content owners from museums and other cultural institutions all over Europe and evaluate and integrate specific tools, based on a common agreed set of standards and guidelines to create harmonised access to their content.
ATHENA will contribute in the content provision to Europeana.
The workpackage 4 intends to develop and broaden the integration of all kinds of resources used by museums and other heritage domains in the multilingual EDL, and in particular to focus on terminologies and semantic tools. It will work on the thesauri and multilingual issues. It will be also responsible for aligning the thesauri in use by museums and to publish them in SKOS-based thesaurus. WP4 will also work on the integration of terminologies and thesauri and of existing multilingual tools.
This wiki will gather all the information on terminology and multilingualism relevant for the WP4. It will also support the collaborative elaboration of the deliverables and the Athena thesaurus.
